Building your new home is an exciting time as you watch an idea transform. Bishard Homes wants you to enjoy the experience. Our homebuilding process not only constructs a high quality home to your specifications, but invites you to closely follow the progress. Step by step, from selecting the design and details to the day you move in and in the years beyond, our team is at your service.

Our Process

Creative Planning
Once you choose the design from our portfolio of more than 100 models, we will guide you through incorporating the details you want and reviewing all of your options. Bishard Homes then provides the plans for your semi-custom home, including the architectural details, color selections, and finishes. When everything is to your liking, you secure financing approval and sign the contract. We obtain the permits and construction begins!

Foundation & Framing
The Bishard Homes crew prepares the construction site and pours the foundation. Then we frame your new home and rough in the mechanical systems: electrical, plumbing, and HVAC. This is the skeleton of your structure and we make sure that your home’s “bones” are strong. We add the insulation and install the drywall, and you can begin to see the reality of your home.

Finishing Touches
Next, we apply the finishes to the interior and exterior. Walls and trim are painted. The doors, flooring, cabinets, countertops, mirrors, appliances, and fixtures are installed. We complete the landscaping, driveways, and walkways. Every last detail—down to the light switches, drawer hardware, and door hinges—is checked by our construction supervisor before we deem your new home “complete”.

Walk-through & Closing
Before you take ownership of your new home, we will guide you through a comprehensive homeowner orientation. Together, we’ll walk through every room in your home, explaining how every system works. We’ll demonstrate you the electrical, heating, and cooling systems. We’ll answer your questions and provide you with a complete homeowner’s manual that includes all warranty and user manuals and a list of all vendors and tradespeople involved in the construction of your home. If you discover any issues during this walk-through that require attention, we’ll make a list and correct them prior to closing.

Warranty
Bishard Homes includes a new home warranty that guarantees the structural integrity of your home. From the day you move in, you’re covered for one full year.
