Planning One of the Last Oceanfront Communities

Now that the first foundation has been poured and framing has started on the first home, Prosperity at The Pines is no longer a visionary venture for Bishard Homes. The new construction, single-family home community in southern Virginia Beach will feature seven of our most successful floor plans in a variety of exterior elevations, but all will have the same attention to detail and craft that a Bishard home is known for.

It goes without saying that location is a significant factor when deciding whether to buy a home. When Bishard Homes’ founders, Steve and John Bishard, invested in undeveloped real estate next to Virginia Beach’s Redwing Park, they knew there would be a unique market for single-family homes within a 3-mile radius of public beach access. Located on Prosperity Road off General Booth Blvd., our newest community, Prosperity at The Pines, has a unique advantage in that it is a 16-minute bike ride to Croatan public beach and just a minute longer to the Virginia Beach oceanfront. Right next door sits Redwing Park, a city-operated public park with picnic areas; outdoor grills; basketball, tennis and volleyball courts; playgrounds and the Miyazaki Japanese Garden. For those who like staying active, Redwing Golf Course and Owl Creek Tennis Center are practically in your backyard.

But Prosperity at The Pines is not just a neighborhood for nature and fitness lovers. The Virginia Aquarium, Ocean Breeze Waterpark and Motor World are within 3 miles. There are five grocery stores within 5 miles and multiple options for dining out including some of the city’s best-known establishments---Waterman’s Surfside Grill, Il Giardino Ristorante, Rockafeller’s, and Le Yaca French Restaurant.

We would be remiss not to mention the close proximity to some of the area’s military bases. Oceana Naval Air Station (NAS) is just 1.6 miles from Prosperity at The Pines and Dam Neck Naval Base is only 2.7 miles making the community a great spot for military families. Bonus: The Oceana NAS commissary is a short 2-minute drive from the community. How’s that for shaving time off your grocery trips and monthly gas expense.

If you are considering moving closer to the beach, then Prosperity at The Pines could be a great fit for you and your family. Head over to our community page to learn more.
